ISO(International Organization for Standardization)為國際標準組織，並無認可或核發ISO認證。坊間所謂ISO認證皆為第三方認證機構所核發。提醒各單位及考生勿被不實宣傳混淆。 
1.通過ISO認證，不得說是ISO認可或承認，因為ISO沒有認證及認可這項業務。
舉例：若您通過明逸 ISO 27001 : 2013 認證，可對外宣稱通過「明逸ISO認證」或通過明逸「 ISO 27001 : 2013 認證」，但請勿對外宣稱通過「ISO認證」。
2.ISO組織並無認證或認可業務，因此不會有公司或組織通過ISO認可或認證。若有，則為第三方認證機構所進行檢測。
舉例：若貴單位通過明逸 ISO 相關認證或認證，請勿對外宣稱通過「ISO認證」，但您可宣稱通過明逸ISO相關認證。 
3.通過相關機構辦理之ISO認證，不得濫用ISO商標，這些行為都是違法的，ISO並不會授權商標被打印在證書上或是授權第三方認證機構拿來宣傳招生。
ISO商標僅授權成員夥伴，成員夥伴皆為各國家唯一ISO代表組織。違法使用ISO商標單位，通常會加工ISO商標，或直接使用ISO商標，並將ISO商標R字樣移除，這些行為皆是違法不可取的行為。(台灣目前並沒有任何單位是ISO會員代表組織)

ISO國際組織秘書處 joseph martinez 電郵回覆表示 : ISO policy on this question is that authorization to use the logo is, in general, granted only to ISO members, i.e. the national standards institutes which represent ISO in their respective countries. Use of the ISO logo cannot be authorized since it would give the impression that ISO approves, authorizes or sponsors the material where the ISO logo would appear.
